Incense has been around for a long time and today is often an integral part of religious ceremonies. Frankincense has been traded for over 5,000 years. Boswellia is a small tree that grows in warm and dry climates. Thus, frankincense is the resin of this tree, which flows out when the bark is cut, first in the form of a milky liquid, which then hardens and gradually darkens.
Frankincense essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of this resin.
Frankincense oil is an effective antiseptic, has disinfectant properties, cleans the air of bacteria. Promotes healing of skin wounds, regenerates and tightens the skin. Therefore, in cosmetics, it is a common ingredient in ""anti-aging"" products. Frankincense oil helps support the immune system and also helps with respiratory problems. The aroma of incense creates an atmosphere of meditation, calming and relaxing. Clears the mind, burdened with many thoughts.
